RunKeeper on HTC Desire HD Problems

Lurker
Hi all,

Another question from me :)

I'm a keen runner and always used Runkeeper on my iPhone and never had problems.

Today was the first day using my Android and RunKepper, I activated GPS as the app tells you too and made sure it was picking me up okay on Google Map / GPS Map.

Loaded up RunKeeper and at the top right it says 'GPS Strength' and this just sat there with a grey X.

So I started the activity anyway but after 1m, noticed it was not tracking anything and the GPS symbol at the top was just flashing.

Anyone got any ideas why Runkeeper is not working for me?

I had the same problem on my Desire, Runkeeper worked about 3 times properly and then stopped, so I uninstalled.

I also started a number of activities hoping it would pick up GPS - no joy - I then tried a few different ones and currently use Endomondo. Absolutely no problems with GPS or anything else, picks up signal very quickly.

Also can upload exercises to the website - I often Mountain Bike and don't want to take my expensive to replace phone with me.

The Endomondo website is a little clunky although it's due an upgrade (according to the site) at the end of this month.

I hear Sportstracker is quite good too, if you can't sort Runkeeper.
