Running App that doesnt require phone

HI all,

Hoping someone can help.

I'm looking for a running app that will track and map my run but that doesnt require me to have my phone with me. I struggle with my phone when running as it's quite bulky, I always wear my SmartWatch 3 so I'm hoping there is an app out there that means I can leave my phone at home.

If I'm not mistaken, the SWR50 (Smart Watch 3) doesn't support Android Wear 2.x... which unfortunately limits your options quite a bit. Wear 2.0 added support for standalone watches and apps that work without a phone connection.

The Ghostracer app does specifically mentioned the Smart Watch 3 in its description though so it might be worth a try:

I believe the Sony Smart-watch 3 doesn't have a GPS in it, and any apps rely on the phone's GPS. So it might not be able to track and map anything without a phone.

Thanks for the replies guys, i think ive taken the decision to update my smart watch, so now need to decide which one, time for a new thread me thinks.........
