Running home entertainment and internet through phone.

I have unlimited data through Verizon, and AT&T U-verse home internet and TV.
Today, my internet was running too slow, so I tethered through my phone, and it was blazing. Checked speedtest.net on my PC home Wi-Fi and phone tether, and the phone was nearly twice as fast.
I've read about others canceling their cable and running everything, including online gaming through their unlimited data.

My questions are, if anyone here has made the switch, what do you do about live TV, or your favorite shows like the Walking Dead and Homeland? Does hulu or Netflix offer these programs? I have Xbox live as well, so how could I rig everything to cut a $130/mo AT&T U-verse bill out of our spending?

Just be careful tethering a lot of data without having the unlimited tethering plan. The FCC ruling didn't protect these plans so Verizon is well within their rights to remove the plan or terminate service if caught tethering without the plan.

True, but there's always the risk. It would certainly such to lose it especially after paying so much to get it.

For live TV you can buy an antenna - depending on your city this will get you 8 - 30 over the air channels for free.

Netflix, Hulu, and others wont have every show but you should be able to get most. Also look into Amazon streaming.
