Help "Running services": Do they deplete battery?

Question 1
In Settings>Developer_Options>Running_Services, I see several things that I don't need.

I believe that unnecessary services that run are unnecessarily depleting my battery, leading to a shorter battery lifespan.

I use my fingerprints to unlock, so I'm not sure if I need these services that I see are on the list of "running services":
★ Face
★ Intelligent Scan
★ Iris

Question 2. Do "cached background processes" sap my battery?

Here are some that I don't need:

★ Bluetooth
★ NFC
★ Samsung DeX System UI (My Samsung phone is not connected to an external monitor/computer)
★ Google VR Services (I don't need/use VR)

Running Samsung S9 on Android Pie. (My phone is not rooted and not rootable.)

Something to keep in mind is when you're disabling some app/service it might not just be that titled process you're killing off, some of them work interactively with other processes so you might be inadvertently affecting something else. Just use a little restraint, pick one or a handful at time and if that doesn't affect anything after a few days of using your phone, disable a few more. If you do run into a problem you can just re-enable whatever is needed.
But as already referred to, at some point you can disable a whole bunch of apps and your battery life will probably be better but you'll also end up with a smartphone that doesn't have the same functionality it was intended to have.
