Help Running the Pac-Man rom on HP TouchPad, Gapps not installing

Running the Pac-Man rom and no matter what gapps I flash none of them are working. What is going on?

I have downloaded the 4.4.4 Gapps-kk from here: https://basketbuild.com/gapps

Also for some odd reason it seems like I have a custom boot menu now:

And even though I don't have unFalcon installed it seems to think I do.

Is this causing my problem?

i've had this issue with many kitkat ROMs. try clearing their individual caches

Thank you how do I do that? Unfalcon seems to be in a non stop boot loop. CyngaogenMod seems to load though.

Also through clockwork mod if I do a factory reset will I loose my root and clockwork mod too? Or will just the Roms be deleted?
