Runs hotter after ICS?

Not significantly. My phone (MAXX) is always warm when I'm doing a lot of radio stuff, but so did my original droid. In fact, when I was doing the ICS OTA download via 4G (believe it or not, 4G is faster than my home WiFi), the phone got quite warm. So warm, in fact, that I elevated it on a couple of pencils in an attempt to maximize exposure of radiatative services to air to increase cooling. And it was, obviously, running 2.3.6.

Mine runs hotter as well. But that is partially due to the fact that something keeps my phone screen from timing out on occasion. Haven't figured out what though. I have have GSam Battery(formerly BadAssBattery)

I don't use any battery apps. I've noticed that it gets really hot any time I'm using 4G consistently.

Every one of y'all need to run the ICS leaked .215 update. If ya not willing to do that then wait for the next update to come out. I had the warm issue as well as battery issues but the .215 fixed all of it.

+1 - I'm on .215 and I just downloaded 18MB using 4G. Took little time and the phone stayed cool! Way different than a similar experience with either GB or .211. YMMV
