Rushing Upgrade

My update is set for July 5th, I need to move mine up before June 28th obviously to get my next phone. Anyone else having luck getting your update pushed sooner to avoid the plan changes?

I'd be willing to bet that even Gandalf the White couldn't get them to move the date now. If you are on a family plan and due for an upgrade on the 29th they probably won't budge.

^^^lol^^^ I agree with Clementine. :p

I would just buy a phone at retail. Try a find a good deal on a new one or if you are really desperate, buy a used 4G phone. Or leave VZW and go to Sprint.

At this point if I was a few days after and they didn't move my date, I would move myself. This money grab plan, err I mean shared plan is making me sick.

Hmmm ive had no luck so far with an online chat and when i called the family account password wasn't good enough to just deal with me. Looks like I'll be going into a store soon and possibly calling a manager. Heavily insinuate that if they don't let my preorder in before June 28th I will be buying a cheap 4g phone activating it and suddenly take a huge interest in streaming Movies, songs etc at all hours of the day and see how many gigs i can hit per month.

While I certainly understand the desire to screw Verizon, do that would honestly hurt the other customers on Verizon more than Verizon itself. Network bandwidth is a limited resource, and if you're intentionally hogging it you're just hurting everyone else on that tower. It also won't be an effective bargaining tactic because it doesn't really effect the retail operations at all. I'd stick with threatening to take you're business across the street to Sprint/ATT/etc (or a prepaid 3rd party competitor).
If you haven't already, call up and ask to speech with customer retention. You're definitely getting screw a bit. Actually more than you think. Because they actually turn on the upgrade 7 days before the actual upgrade date, and you're date is 8 days after the change. It's almost as if somebody at Verizon really hates you personally...

I had to call in last night because upon checking on MyVerizon Web site I saw that one line showed an order pending (I was checking for my renewal dates). During the conversation I asked about early upgrades and was told that for long term customers in good standing they could push it up 30 days. It would be worth calling in and asking before the bucket brigade date. :D
