I recently came across a T-mobile Galaxy Light (sgh-t399) and had planned to give it to a friend that has a newer blu, which is just crazy slow and has no memory. I had planned on flashing it to a much more recent rom, but the most recent I can find is CM12. I know the Galaxy Light isn't a super powerful device, but it is much nicer than a lot of the budget phones on the market, so I am a bit surprised that custom development stopped at cm12, and only netted a handful of mediocre roms. So my question here is why?
Primarily, I am asking because I am considering just porting or compiling my own custom build of Resurrection Remix or Paranoid, but don't want to waste my time if a brick wall in the form of hardware capability is sitting in my near future. If it is a hardware issue, where is the cut-off, could I squeeze in CM13?
