S-pen broke inside Note 5

Had Note 5 since Aug 2015. Use S-pen LOTS. TOP HALF came out of phone but long end stayed inside. Able to remove it with tiny 3/32 screwdrivers from 11piece set. Glued it back together but afraid to stick back inside phone. Have heard Amazon and eBay knockoffs either break or don't allow ALL features.

Ordered on Samsung site, $35, but day later got email. How in h*ll can Samsung S-pen be OUT OF STOCK with NO ETA? They break that often??

Most likely is the age of the Note 5. It's still an awesome phone that can stand with anything new. But the fact of the matter is, it approaching a year old, and there have been new flagships introduced recently. So they just haven't lately produced parts. A year old phone is basically a grandfather.
Your best bet is Amazon.

Thanks for all replies. I understand age of technology. However when FLAGSHIP phone is only 7 months and it's replacement not expected for months .... I think SIGNATURE features/parts like S Pen ought to be carried by Samsung. Though they charge $35, they've gotta be pennies to produce. And ... if they don't already . . They should make them fit more than one generation of NOTES. What is a Note without a fully functional Spen? Oh ... Its an S7 ... Which if I see yet another commercial I'll scream!

Shouldn't the carrier stores have them?

Nobody has them, thats the problem. Like Nomusa said, how do you not have them? I asked Samsung directly if they would honor my warranty if the replacement I was directed to purchase on Amazon by 2 different Samsung employees causes damage. They would not answer time and time again. Its actually a joke if you ask me. You know the pens break yet you don't sell new ones?
