Help S Pen Woes

Yesterday my S Pen started acting up. As soon as you pull it from it's slot/hideaway, the 4 little icons turn up as supposed to. However, as soon as the pointer on S Pen gets anywhere near the icons, the phone turns off. I turned it off, restarted and even did a factory reset in case something was in system. Having just reloaded all my bits and bobs, the S Pen is still turning off the phone.
Any ideas please ??

Hi Gregg,

When you say that the phone turns off, do you mean that the screen turns off or does the phone really shut down? In the latter case, assuming that you don't have the most bizarre battery problem on the planet, I would guess software problem. A factory reset will clear all user installed apps and data, but the OS of the phone will remain the same as it was before the reset. Perhaps you should try to re-flash the phone to get rid of any strange OS issues.

If you don't want to be so extreme, then you could see if you can get another pen and/or battery to check that there are no hardware issues.

Regards,
Eric.

I did a factory reset and that seemed to sort out problem---just the time spent getting it all as I had it,
Thanks for input. :)
