S planner now showing Chinese calendar

Hi all, I've never posted here before so please bear with me.
My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 recently performed a software update to 4.4.2.
Up until then I had been happily using S Planner linked to my google calendar online. Once the phone had updated, the S Planner app didn't show my calendar entries (although it did on the widget?), so I force stopped and cleared cache for everything I could see that mentioned S Planner and that seemed to do the trick and brought all my entries back again when I restarted it.
However, what also now appears on my monthly calendar is a small date under each entry giving the date in the Chinese calendar?? It is visible all the time on the first entry of each week, but if you click on a day mid-week it also shows the Chinese date when the day is highlighted. Eg today apparently is 10/4.
How on earth do I get rid of that? Any ideas? Anyone had a similar problem?

Take a look at your Google calendar online, not the mobile version. Under calendar settings there is an option for alternate calendar. Is the Chinese calendar listed there? If so try removing it.

Hi johnny, thanks for replying. I have had a look at the calendar settings online and the alternative calendar is set to 'no alternative calendar'.
It doesn't seem to be affecting my online calendar at all, it is just on my phone on the monthly calendar displaying my google calendar within s planner. The numbers are still there on a blank calendar if I remove all the calendars.

Lunar Month 10, Day 4, Year of the Horse. There's nothing in the region settings is there? What actual version of the Note 3 have you got? Didn't come from Asia did it?

I bought an s4 in Hong Kong and it has the lunar dates displayed. I think it's a Chinese market build so I wondering can I disable this feature or just learn to live with it

I think it's in the firmware on Chinese version phones. I don't think it can be disabled, not without changing the firmware for another region.
