S2 stuck on Boot Screen

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, I've been using it for 3 years. I was using my phone and suddenly it shuts down by itself, I tried to reboot but it did not work. I Reset my phone but it still does not start, its just stuck on the Boot Screen. I asked some of my friends they said to update my phone to the latest OS, so i tried to do that but my phone does not even connect to my computer, a pop up appears stating that usb driver software not installed, there is no battery problem. Please tell me how to fix it.
