Help S2 Turns Off Randomly

I'm currently trying to fix an S2. The problem is that it randomly turns off and says that the battery is critically low even though battery fully charges in minutes while the phone is off. I've somewhat narrowed the time when the problem started, it began when the phone was upgraded to 4.04. I've called Sprint and they made me do a hard reset which didn't do anything for me because the problem still persist. I wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same issue and if so how do I fix it?

Have you checked if the battery has inflated?
Try spinning the battery on a smooth, flat surface. If it spins, then you should get your battery replaced.
A similar thing happened to my sister a week ago.

The battery looks inflated. One thing I've noticed after the hard reset that Sprint told me to do is that now I'm noticing horrible reception and data is non existant. In case you're wondering how bad it is I'm roaming in Los Angeles type of bad reception. I checked with Sprint if there were any outages and they said no. The phone about a year old and I don't understand how anything can break this easy. Does Samsung offer any warranty for parts?

Ok so sprint sent me another phone and now the new phone is acting weird. Has anyone gotten the "Charging paused. Voltage too high" warning? As I'm typing this I'm looking to see if it has been addressed. The phone states that it is being charged even when not connected to any charger.
