s3 software update

My samsung galaxy s 3 told me to make a software update so i did it nd then the phone showed all the time the samsung logo and tahn i looked in internet and I did what was written there i pressed home - volume down and the on off button and then it said " dowloading do not turn off taregt" it was there for nearla an hour now i put out the battery and there is again the samsung logo
