How do you remove the half moon tab on the side of an S3?
 
Hello and welcome to AndroidForums.com. To disable that you need to disable Multi-Window. You can do this from the toggle in the pull-down notification bar or from the settings page.

Long press the back button. And again to reappear it. It's the multi task tab.
