S4 logs on automatically when started

I'm very confused.
First, everything is working.

When I go into Settings and then Accounts, I see 2 Google accounts listed. They each have a different ID at GMail.com.

And everything on my phone is being synced with each of these two accounts.

When I start my phone (after it is powered on), I am never asked for an ID or password.
(My phone was set up some time by US Cellular by FOR me, so I never really understood "things". It just works.)

Some questions:
How do I find out what google account (I see 2 on my phone) is being used for what appears an automated log on to the phone ?

If I wanted to stop this automated log on and be asked for a user ID or password at power up, how would I do that ?

Thanks

I would guess that the rep at US Cellular who setup the phone for you created another Google account for you. Do you know the passwords for both accounts? If not, please don't mess around with them as you could lock yourself out of your own phone. What I recommend is to log into each account on a PC. If you can, then you know the passwords.

I would also guess that when the phone was setup, it was done so without any security. You can go to settings>security and set a pin, password or pattern lock there. Then you'll need that to get into your phone each time. There really isn't an automated logon, but you can setup locations or devices in your trusted list so that you don't need the security in certain places.

Thanks for the (very) quick reply.

So, ....
If I go to Settings / security and set up a password, it(the password that I create) has nothing at all to do with the passwords for the 2 Google accounts ?
Am I understanding correctly ?

Yes, it will be a password only for access tot he phone. The Google accounts are different.
