s4 or note 3

Hi guys. Been using note 2 since last october. Loving it. However dropped the phone yesterday and the glasses broke!! Anyway thinking of upgrading but s4 now or hold out for note 3??

S4 is definitely appealing but one thing I'll lose out on is the screen size what do u guys think

If s4 then next time will be note 4

Note 3 will come out around September-October. If you can wait that long, stick with it. You may end up missing the S-Pen.

Just to offer my opinion, if you're thinking of upgrading instead of just replacing the screen on your Note 2, then it sounds like the S4 has captured your fancy and now you have an excuse to go for it. ;)

I could be wrong, of course. :D
 
If you have gotten used to the huge screen of the note 2, then I suggest you wait for note 3. Of course, you should go to Samsung Stores and actually try out those S4 display sets and see whether you like it or not. Just do not forget that the S4 is only 5" big and does not sport an S Pen.
 
Cheers all for quick reply. Well yes s pen is a nice feature to have I admit but I don't use it a lot. I am ready for s4 but also don't wanna cry and regret note 3 haha. They will be the same. Just screen size. Fixing this glass cost too much

If your mind says S4, then I think you shoukd go for S4 :D

Then it just depends on whether you want to go down .5 inches, or go up .5 inches in screen size :p

Of course, since the Note 3 will be released in the latter half of the year, it will sport slightly better specs than the S4 (and a bigger battery).

But if you're fine with the 5 inch screen, then go with the Galaxy S4 by all means. It's a good phone, and I'm sure you won't jump off a cliff when the Note 3 is released. :D
 
From one N2 user to the other, considering I have been testing VZW S4 for the last week - S4 is a fantastic phone with some amazing new technologies. I will have a detailed write in a day or so (written from N2 perspective). BUT with all it's cool features, I personally going to stick with Note 2/3 because once you go big screen, you don't look back :D I don't use s-pen either, and I'm sure all these air-view/smart-scroll, language translator, IR blaster, etc. features will be included in N3 as well. The only thing that can make me stop from looking into N3 if they are going to make the phone bigger. Bigger screen is ok, maybe 5.7" or 5.9", as long as it's at the expense of narrowing down the bezel while keeping the phone footprint the same.

That was the biggest thing that I missed while playing with S4, a bigger screen. That 0.5" of diagonal screen real estate makes a big difference for me.

I was a Note user and at times, I feel that I should have just wait for the Note 3 launch instead of jumping to the S4. Oh well, what done is done. The S4 is still an awesome device for me! :D
 
I would wait for the note 3 because it should have a better screen and will have the spen. Also rumor has it they are working on an "unbreakable" screen for the note 3.

Yeah. Samsung is trying to make a tough phone and they are starting with the S4 Active.
 
Stay with the Note series.

I find the Galaxy Note line to be better in terms of everything compared to the Galaxy S line.

If you are talking about display size, then you're right. But other than that, there is not much differences.
 
I think the S4/S3 is my size limit for a phone, any bigger and it's going to be a little uncomfortable in my pockets.

I'm sure the Note 3 will be a great device though.
