S5 Active
Battery bludged while charging.

Bought a new OEM battery, installed and plugged it.

Nothing shows on the screen.

Took the battery out of another S5 Active that was charged and installed it.
Again dead, brick!

Tried the Vol UP, Power and Home.
Still bricked.

Any advice from the tribe here for me to try?

TIA

Are you still using the same charger and cable?
If so, try different ones as one or both of those could be at fault. In a pinch if you don't have another charger handy you can plug it into a PC USB port, you won't get the full charging rate but if the phone is ok it should come on and begin charging.
If the phone doesn't respond with a known-good battery, charger and cable then unfortunately there is probably an internal hardware fault.

So it's utterly unresponsive (no screen, no sound, no vibration)? If it's like that even when fitting a charged battery that works in another S5 Active then your problem isn't the battery. There's probably a hardware problem - whether that's the cause of or a consequence of the charging cycle where your original battery failed catastrophically I can't guess.

If it responds in any way then it might be different, but that's my best guess from what you've written.

Tried a different charger /cable.

No response to a charged battery or power buttons.

No Screen, vib or noise. This totally bircked I guess.

It was charging and when I went to pick it up, the back cover came off in my hand. Thats when I saw the bulging battery

Thanks for the help folks.

BTW what is the L1 button visible under the back cover?

Not sure what that button is, don't have it on my regular S5.
Chances are there was either a serious internal failure on the mainboard that caused the battery to overcharge and swell, or the battery failed and trashed the board. Either way it does appear you now have a paperweight.
