Has anyone else had a similar problem with their phone restarting by itself? ( I have the T-Mobile version)

Yes, my Verizon S5 (running 4.4.4) restarts every couple of days at random. Annoying, but not a deal killer.

There is no regularity to when it happens. It can happen while I use the phone or when it's left alone idling away. Sometimes it goes without a week restarting by itself or sometimes it does it twice a week. I read it may be an app conflicting? Or the battery? or the power button? I hope maybe Lollipop fixes this problem..
