Help S6 MAJOR PROBLEM - HELP

panakap

Lurker
Ok so here's the situation.

I recently bought myself an S6, had for about a week and a half now and all has gone swell.
However, this occurred to me today.
I was having my usual day at university sitting with friends. I was playing a few games on my phone and then put it away into my pocket. The battery at the time was 48% from memory. About 5-10 minutes later I went to check the time on my phone and then, well, nothing happened.

What I mean is:
  • The screen won't turn on regardless of whether I press the power or home button
  • On me I had the USB cable, thinking I could charge it from my laptop, however no red light appeared indicating it was charging
  • I asked my girlfriend to ring me to see if there was a dial tone, and there was. It rung out.
  • The screen up front is hot
What does this mean? Should I replace it under warranty?
The only possible cause of this problem is that somehow the battery died and I need to use the full charger when I get home.

Ideas anyone? :/

Hi

That sounds like a battery problem - maybe a short circuit. I would not leave the phone on charge unattended. If its really hot, make sure its not in contact with anything flammable. If simply charging it does not solve the problem, more than likely you need to return it under warranty.
