Did you try an Emergency recovery and initialisation using Smart Switch? It is the safest solution. If that doesn't help, then try a 'wipe'.
I am not sure from your post, how much access you have to the recovery mode. I am not familiar with restrictions, if any on verizon devices. This suggestion is for an international Samsung S6. Since you mentioned accidental factory reset, I assume you have already lost all the data in the phone. ( Photos, contacts, messages etc).
Warning: You will erase all your personal data on the device beyond recovery, if you perform 'wipes' or 'factory resets'
Options in recovery mode are meant for advanced users. Use these only if you know what you are doing.
I am not resposible for your data or the device. My intention is to guide you make a decision.
Note: While in recovery mode, you navigate the menu using vol up and vol dn buttons and make a selection with power button.
I assume you have access to the recovery mode. (Power down the phone, then hold down volume up, home and power buttons together). Enter recovery mode and execute 'wipe data/factory reset' and 'wipe cache partition'. Now go for 'reboot system now'.
Hope it helps.
