S7: any way to show HH:MM:SS on lock screen clock?

I have googled all over the place and there isn't anything that works on android v6 that shows seconds.

I don't really mind if it is digital or analog but it's nice to see seconds for a quick check the phone has not crashed or frozen! This happens rather often...

I'm more concerned about why your phone is crashing often. It shouldn't even do that. How often is often?

However my Q stands. It's curious why there are no other such clocks.

I found some in the appstore which might do it but they all contains adverts.

Because they probably eat up battery faster. That's a constantly changing item on your screen, as opposed to one that only changes every minute. Don't those you found have paid options to remove ads?
