S7 Edge - cant turn on flashlight - use camera

Might sound like something you wouldn't use that often but sometimes I'd use this when taking pictures of stuff to sell on ebay. Just looked better than the flash - turn on the flashlight, use it as a way to light the object while using the camera.

For some reason it looks like the ability to do that has been disabled here. Turn on flashlight, open Camera - flashlight is automatically turned off.

Anyone else used the flashlight like this and/or seen this?

Well a work around:

1. Turn on flashlight
2. Open camera (flashlight) gets turned off.
3. Activate video recording (flashlight turns back on)
4. Hit the capture button to take picture (under the stop button).

Yah I used this on my note 4 alot as a magnifying glass to read serial numbers on nailguns. Hopefully some way is found to do it again.
