S7 Edge Owners Please Read

Hi guys, really really interested in purchasing an S7 Edge. For you owners of this device, please could you help me with a couple of questions i have:

1) Does the battery drop very quickly from 100% to around 92 to 93% and then last normally down to 0%? I had an S5 a while ago where the battery went down so fast from 100% to 92% and then was ok afterwards, it used to drive me nuts!

2) I noticed that when taking a photo, the photo doesn't take up the whole screen. This bugs me loads! I know the pictures don't take up the whole screen in 12 megapixel format, but reducing the quality down to 9.1 megapixels does allow the photos to take up the whole screen of the phone. Is there a big drop in quality of the photos when dropping the megapixels to 9.1?

3) Finally, what are your thoughts and experiences of the phone? Battery good etc?

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Let me know if I can do anything in return! :-)

1. Not that I've noticed. 100 to 99 seems a bit long actually.

2. No degradation. It doesn't take the same photo and reduce it. What happens is just a bar 1.5 megapixels in size on the top and bottom isn't used.

3. Excellent overall experience so far.

I'd suggest popping into a Samsung Highstreet store or uk network shop or Carphone warehouse and try out the working shop demo models.

My friend has the s7 edge and I've seen when in messages and the keyboard invoked that the letters right on either edge of the screen can be accidentally triggered by the palm of the hand. He's on the latest firmware so he tells me so should have the recent patch Samsung sent out to combat this.

Apart from that he loves it.

Oh and he uses a case with a magnetic catch which he says can affect it.

There should be an option in the keyboard to make it centered. Another is Swiftkey, which designed their keyboard to detect the S7Edge and have all the keys centered and none on the edges.

I had my Edge 2 weeks, in a case with screen protector. dropped from about 2' onto gravel driveway. It landed on the edge cracked screen & LCD below. No insurance. Almost $600 to have it repaired. In 16 years of not have insurance, this is the first time it would have saved me money. Wish I had gotten the S7, if you must have the Edge get the insurance.
