Help S7 Locked Up

My phone wasn't connected to my car tonight even though the Bluetooth was on, so I decided to restart it. It got to the white screen with the AT&T logo and froze. It is still there here about an hour later. Of course I can't pull the battery.... ugh. Nothing I do will restart it. I am waiting on the battery to die and maybe it will restart.
Anyone have any ideas?

Holding vol down and the power button is supposed to hard reset. Haven't had a reason to try it myself yet tho.

That worked! Figured there had to be some kind of reset. You're a life saver. Everything seems OK.
