S7 & S7 Edge bugfix and security update.

Releases PD1 and PD3, build dates 1st & 7th April, for the unbranded U.K. models of the S7 and S7 Edge, their 3rd release each, to-date since launch, on the Exynos octa core chipset, is certainly a big improvement. It addresses, amongst other things, the slight stutter that some were experiencing on 3D games and has the April Security patch. :)

I wish Three in the UK would pull their fingers out, they've not released a single update yet.

I feel for you bIOforger! Whilst Samsung get these updates ready a.s.a.p. it is the carriers that are often the problem.

Still, no matter how frustrating it is for you, just think to yourself... at least I'm not on Verizon.

Yep fair point, to be honest the stock 3 rom seems to be very stable/good, no bugs detected so far, unlike the Verizon variant ;)

Yeah, I saw. They don't seem to be in any hurry to push it out though. Still on B4

So, it is not that Samsung has not released a U.K. Vodafone firmware as your previous post implies but that you have not received it 36 hours later.

Yours will be one of around 400 firmwares that Samsung will be pushing out over the last 48 hours for their phones. Give them a break! You have a link in my previous post, so you can download it and flash it via Odin if you cannot wait.

Should the phone auto detect this update?

Normally, yes. However, the updates may be staggered as Samsung can release upwards of 200+ a day for all their phone models. You can also connect to Samsung Smart Switch and check for updates. Alternatively, you can download the firmware for your mode of phone, Product and CSC Codes and flash it using Odin.

Looks like Verizon are rolling out the May security patch. Doesn't appear to be a firmware upgrade though, that some other U.S. carriers have issued.
