S7 software Issue

i bought a used s7 running on t mobile. mobile is running fine and getting updates fromt mobile. issue arised when i tried to connect it to pc i failed. after trying a lot its not recognized by pc. whrn i logged on samsung + to ask for help astonishingly it was shown g930p instead of g930t. it appears someone has installed t mobile rom on g930p. further device serial number is also not appearing in about mobile. Now i have following worries:
1. is my mobile running on custom rom or stock t mobile rom as its still getting official updates.
2. is my mobile g930p or g930t
3. how can i find serial number of device
4. how can i resolve connection issue with pc. already done all tips and tricks available on net

Appologies for a long script and thanks in advance for any support

Not sure on newer Samsung Sprint (P) phones, but with older models, they don't have a SN. Only the IMEI.
Supposedly, you can flash different carrier branded firmware on any US carrier branded 930 model phones. Found a old thread where this is mentioned.

If you have received any System OTA updates from T-Mobile and they installed without faults, you are on stock, official firmware and not a custom ROM.
Your model number could very well be a 930P. Hopefully, the device info app will show what it actually is.
Connection to pc could be drivers, cable, or the USB port on PC. Default USB connection is "Charge Only" and you have to select MTP in the drop-down menu.

Thanks a lot. That really answers the question. For sure its a G930P with bootloader and stock rom of G930T. Thats why working fine and getting updates. And thanks for clearing my doubts abot rom as with stock rom one can remain relatively secure n updated.
Now I am ok with whatever it is.
Regarding usb however have changed cables, pc, ports, mtp settings even by *#0808#, but in vein so far. Hopefully someday will get it solved.
For now a big big thanks for ur help and support. obliged.

just because A phone is rommed or rooted does not make the phone anymore less subject to getting virus or being unsafe. it all falls back on the users actions is what causes you to get viruses just a 1 simple click on a link out on google site can do it all to where you would have been more that happy to have had your phone rooted and completely backed up and saved safely on your computer and pick up where you left off at. just thought to maybe to toss that out there
I have been a member of this android forum every since they first loaded their first site.
