S8 camera

I seem to have a glitch on my s8 phone camera . When I access it , it shows "bixby vision" on the left hand bottom bar , and when I try to take a picture , it is completely blurred until I get to within a couple of inches from the subject , when it becomes clear . This is clearly N.B.G. as far as picture taking is concerned . I don't think I have altered any settings for this , and I can't find any way to correct this . I would completely uninstall Bixby if this is possible , and would help . Any help gratefully accepted .

1. Did you enable Bixby Vision?
2. Are you sure you don't have your camera set to "selective focus" as items will only focus at 50cm or closer?

Well, I don't know that I did enable "Bixby vision" and if I did , I didn't mean to ! I've looked for a way to disable it , but don't see the way to do it . And AFAIK , I haven't set my camera to "selective focus " , in fact , I've never heard of it before now . but that seems very likely to have happened . S-o-o-o , how do I undo it all , and get back to more common or garden "snapping" ? Thanks for the replies so far , (and the patience for a (very) "silver surfer)

Just to add to my previous thread . Is it worth trading up to an S9 from an s8 now that the price of an S9 has dropped so dramatically , following the S10 release ?
