S9 Notification Settings Icon Badges

Alright, I'm sure this is a simple fix. Maybe not.

I just upgraded to the S9 from a S7. On my old phone, I had the notifications set to show Icon Badge numbers next to the App. But no popups or things to show in the Lock screen, or on the top of the phone. Unless it was a text message or email from certain email address associated to my accounts (Ya know the little Facebook Icon, or Email Icon shown at the top of the screen or in the pulldown notification bar).

Now, I show Icon Badge Notifications with a number prompt next to them. And all of the apps that have any sort of notification active show up in the top of the screen and on the lock screen. But as soon as you swipe the notification from the top of the screen, the Icon badge disappears.

Is there a way to set it so, that I don't show any lock screen notifications or drop down bar notification for specific apps? But still retain the Icon Badge numbers?

Thanks,

I moved this into the Galaxy S9 channel so folks with the same device can lend a hand. :)

Basically no, this is done by design in Oreo. If you use a different launcher like Nova, then it works as you want, so the icon badge count sticks even if you have dismissed the notification.

Man, That's horrible. I hate this layout. I miss all kinds of important notifications and I'm sent way to many unnecessary ones.

Perfectly stated. I've had the phone for 3 weeks now, and I'm still getting reminders/notifications on things I dont' want, and constantly missing notifications I need because I swiped them away.
