Help S9 - Samsung Unlocked vs T-Mobile BOGO

NY10040

Hello,
We actually need two phones so I was wondering if I should wait for Samsung to offer a BOGO on the unlocked version or pounce on the T-Mobile BOGO. Elsewhere I was told that most of the bloatware on the S9 was Samsung's anyway, not T-Mobile's. What do you think? Our trades are virtually worthless at only $50 each.
Thanks!

How long do you think you'll have to wait for Samsung to offer a BOGO on the unlocked S9? Did they ever offer one on the S8?

(I can't see Samsung's motivation for offering a 2 for 1 deal on the unlocked model. T-Mobile get 2 contracts, from which they make money, so offering a discount on the hardware in order to get more contracts may be worth it for them. Samsung only get what they make from selling the phone, so as long as they are selling OK why offer them at half price?).

I think Samsung offered one on the S8, briefly, but I'm not positive. I was hoping someone might know on here.

Thanks!

Unlocked phones often don't have full VOLTE and stay on 4GLTE the way Tmobile and MetroPCS branded phones do on that Network .
Also Tmo phones on TMo or Metro have Bands active for better reception inside buildings etc.

Not sure if factory unlocked Galaxy S9s are' smart' enough to overcome this but I had a Galaxy Alpha 850M - a great little rugged Phone factory unlocked which did work very well but went from 3G to H to H+ and never said 4GLTE like the branded phones .

It had LTE but not on TMo/Metro in actual usage.

So try to double check the Factory Unlocked S9 960U and see if it functions fully for simultaneous Data and Voice on Tmobile on 4GLTE before you buy them
..IF you go the 'Factory Unlocked Route'.
