S9 Slow Motion Video for longer than 2 Seconds?

The Slow Motion on the Galaxy S9+ is pretty amazing when you've got a set target in manual mode (like flames in an open fire) or have a very predictable subject in the automatic mode (like a batter swinging at a pitch), but is there any way to extend that 2-second limit when recording slow motion video manually?

I know recording a slow motion video for 5 or 10 seconds would take up a ton of space and be a very long video, but I've got 256GB MicroSD card (so storage isn't a concern) and it'd be easier to chop down a long slow motion video to grab the part you want.

This would allow me to be a LOT more creative with the Galaxy S9 Plus slow motion camera features, and I love it, so hoping I can squeeze some extra value out of it. Seems too limited in 2-second spurts.

I agree, unfortunately I don't think there will be an update for the Super Slow-Mo as it is just way too many frames and the ram/processor probably can't handle it. Also with Super Slow-Mo unless you know exactly what is going to happen and when the timing is pretty difficult to get the slow action started exactly where you want it. I have been having fun with Slow Motion (a few more options to the right of Super Slow-Mo), with that you can edit the slow motion effect to how ever long you want it and where you want it to begin. The negative is I believe it's 240 fps vs the 960 fps in Super Slow-Mo but it still have a nice effect and gives you much more creative freedom.

If super slomo could be done in 5 second bursts even... It would open the door to a lot more creative YouTubers using their smartphone to record their videos.

That buttery smooth b-roll!

I hope they try to push the boundaries with the super slomo but 60fps is decent in UHD. I'm gonna try using that more often and see how it looks. At least will look a little cinematic when slowed to 24fps.

Guys...
It is not 2 seconds but 0.2 seconds.

Sony RX10 II and RX100 IV do have 2 seconds of the same and upscaled to 1080p
For a cellphone this is huge in terms of processor and buffer capacity and speed.
0.2 secs are transformed into 6 secs
960x0.2 =192 frames
At 30 frames per second, 180 frames takes 6 seconds so 192 is a bit beyond 6 seconds.

I don't think this processor and neither the bus could support more than 0.2 secs but, what I think would be great was to have the possibility, like we do in the above mentioned cameras, to save the moment AFTER it happened.

We could choose to click and start the capture or click to save the buffer that was already captured.

THAT would be super.

It would be great if we could just change resolution and framerate to match the max bitrate the phone can handle so we could i.e. record a bit longer in lower res or lower framerate. Getting a bit less slow but more of the action.
