S9plus email notifications

When I got emails on my S7, there would be a number next to the icon on the home page telling me there were new emails.
How do I set up the S9 plus so it does the same?

go to your phone SETTING ---> NOTIFICATIONS ---> turn on icon badges (ON) --->under the BADGE STYLE ---> choose SHOW WITH NUMBER.---> then go back to main screen. Test and check if numbers will appear in your sms, email, whatsapp, etc
