Help Safe Mode

Hi there I am new to this forum and new to cell phones in general and hope someone can help me I have been given an Ideos u8150 2.2 phone I have managed to work it all out and am happy with it, but for one thing in the bottom left hand corner it tells me it is in Safe Mode, this has only just appeared so I may have inadvertantly pressed something somewhere !!!!! I have checked everywhere on the phone to see if I can turn it off but to no avail, everything seems to be working fine, but it is annoying me and I worry if there is a problem I am not aware off. Please help. Thanks
 
It's.happened to me a couple.of times, must.be when we press someyhing at startup. Just start the phone.again and.you should.be.good.to go . Lol
 
Thank you soooooo much, Duh silly me I turned it of and on again and hey presto all OK now. I feel soooo stupid, mind you the only thing I have not mastered very well is turning off and on !!!! silly I know but never sure which button to press as none seem to quickly turn the phone on again I seem to have to press "all" of them a few times to make it turn on !!! maybe thats why it went to safe mode, I must be confusing it LOL :p
 
Hi aquahens, if you were given the phone, is it in standard out of the box state?
I can only think that the Browser or Email (Google) may be in Safe Mode.
Have you set up an account with Gmail? Check in your settings with your email account and see if it's in Safe mode.
If you have not got any important data/addresses stored yet, it might pay to do a Factory Reset. Cheers Neil.
Just seen the Post by alpha0990, to turn off the phone > press the RED button > screen display > single quick touch with the ON button (top of phone) will shut off screen (blank) phone is now in standby. Neil.
 
Welcome, I have also had.troubke with my on button lol. If you root your phone, gScript can come in handy for restarting and turning off quickly.
 
To shut down your phone - a long press of the Power on button brings up the screen with 3 options. If you power off - the phone gives you the choice to continue or cancel.
When you restart the phone - it takes about 90 seconds to become fully functional.:eek: If you are in a hurry - this may be quite a long wait.:mad:
I don't know if there is a process other than Rooting the phone to speed things up. Neil.:)
