Root Safe to update with stock rom?

I have noticed there is an OTA update for flickr and the gallery app for my phone, is it safe to update these apps? Will I lose my root if I do? I'm rooted and used the TWRP 2 recovery, but I am still running the stock rom. I'm guessing I should be ok right? It's not like I'm updating from ICS to Jellybean or something...

I am rooted and on the jmz stock deodexed rom and I updated those just now... I haven't seen any problems... my guess is you should be ok, but I'm not 100% sure so if you want someone else's opinion on the matter that's kool

Those updates are just for apps, not the os. It is safe to update apps.
