I'm wanting to root my phone, but I'm understandably nervous to try these "One Click Root" apk's im seeing.... This phone was not cheep and people can be jerks and give out fake apks.... Does anyone know a trusted sight where I can get a root apk for LG G7ThinQ LM-G710TM? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

After a brief search, it doesn't look like it, yet, for your T-Mobile variant.
As far as those one-click root apps, yeah, steer clear of those.

Honestly, the customizability is a big reason. But the main reason this all got started (lol) is I've been interested in android development for years! I play around with a few tools, and right now my biggest problem is, I can't figure out how to get the elementID of a button in one of my apps so i can use it in automation lol. Really, I'd just love someone to 'take me under their wing' and help me learn the ins and outs of android coding. I've done C++ and SQL before, but android is somehow eluding me....

I have heard good and bad about kingoroot.... I'm not willing to roll the dice on a $700 device... Do you have any evidence to support your claim?
