Hi all out there,

I am new to this forum. Hope to make a good bunch of friends out there.

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy SL i9003, but as it's the first time I am trying out a smart phone, there is a bit of starting trouble. I am trying to open the android market but cant get through. its prompting no connection 'retry', even though i am having an active wifi connection. is there any setting that i have to change to get started.

Expecting a solution, I remain.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

If you have an active Wifi connection, make sure you can get to the internet through your browser. If you can get to a website, then it may be the firewall on your router blocking the port the market uses. Set your firewall to allow UDP and TCP traffic for port 5228 and then try again. Also make sure you are accessing the Market from a country that is supported.

If you continue to have issues, check with Samsung Galaxy SL - Android Forums as it may be an issue with your particular model.
