I own a construction/restoration firm, we are looking for a Sales Canvassing App to help with our sales efforts. Here is what we are looking for at a higher level of abstraction. Wondering if there is something similar to this already available or there is a developer out there interested in designing something like this on a contract basis.
We would like to take something like the Samsung Galaxy as the hardware. Use GPS to track the movements of the Canvasser during the day, both for the purpose of making sure they are actually doing the work but to also track mileage expense for IRS purposes. We would like some buttons/icons that could be clicked by the Canvasser that would activate certain functions. One example, press the location icon, it polls the GPS to determine the address their standing at, the GPS coordinates and automatically puts that into a database or perhaps even an email. Click a button to pull up a preset form to fill out a Customer questionaire and then click another button to load this information into a database or send it out via email. Click a button to take a picture and store the picture or pictures with the GPS and Customer form data.
We will be making some presentations, videos, etc. that can be used on the hardware to present to the prospective Customers. That is relatively easy and can be separate from this app, however, if integrating it into this app is possible, that would be good as well.
To carry it one step forward, if the data we get could be formatted to automatically be exported to an ACT! database, all the better. But not necessarily required.
I would appreciate your help in identifying a package already out there that might do this with minimal tweaking OR hearing from a developer here that has the capability and would potentially be interested in doing this work on a contract basis.
