Samsung Acclaim ringtone problem

Ok... I'm new to all of this but when I go to settings on my phone and select sounds and display, I go to the phone ringtone and set it to what I want. But when anyone calls its the ringtone that lets me know who is calling, so all is does is repeat the number or says whos calling...very annoying because I dont want everyone to know who is calling me, please help I've tried everything!!!!!!

Go to Settings > Text-to-speech and see if "Speak incoming caller ID" is checked. This is what would be causing your phone to say who's calling instead of just ringing.
