Samsung App retrieval

Guys, I’m going nuts a bit here.

All I’m trying to do is to get a phonebook sync app from the Samsung app store.
For this to download I have to create an account with Samsung first.

To create the account I need to tick 3 boxes on the phone, the third box is for a ‘privacy policy’.

When I check this box, however, I am direct to a web address, presumably to display the actual policy text.

The phone then freezes when trying to retrieve this page and I can go no further.
Any suggestions welcome to stop me going bananas.

The Gmail account you used when setting up your phone will sync your contacts. is this not sufficient ?

I have synced contacts via Gmail, but I need phone contacts (landline or mobile) to be copied across from my old phone to save me doing this manually.
