Have you tried a battery pull or a reboot to the device? The emergency screen being up leads me to believe that the phone isn't recognizing that it has a connection to your personal service and account. It's in emergency mode that will only dial 911. I'm afraid that if a battery pull doesn't fix your problem, you're going to have to take it in to your carrier and have them look at it.
