samsung galaxy 10.1 n8010 (the early one- there are 2 of these with similar names)
i tried to use an app for an antivirus but it was too proud to sit on my tablet because it only has 4.1.2 android.
so i chatted with samsung.
they had no idea.
so i googled some apps that would update it.
HMM they got my spidey sense atingling. especially the poor english.

so experts. can i update this tablets android?
not keen on rooting - sounds too extreme!

settings-about device-software update........... has nothing

Update by official means no. Root and a rom is possible and will allow you to update the device. Root being hard, well it's easy as long as you read and give it a go.
