Samsung Galaxy Ace and MusicMagpie

Does anybody know why the MusicMagpie barcode scanner does not work on the Galaxy Ace (all you get is a black screen with the flashing red bar); or how to get it to work? It seems that the camera is not hooking up with the app, or vice-versa.

This app shows as incompatible with S5830 on the play store.
I guess we can confirm now that it really doesn't work on ACE.
