Samsung Galaxy ACE Headphone Volume Level Low.

Hi All,

I am finding that on the Samsung Galaxy Ace the level of the volume from the headphone socket is to low even when turned up fully. It's not loud enough to use the device when running and cycling etc. Also the volume is low when feeding an external amp.

I am using a registered version of Power Amp and have tried the hack to access the engineering service mode menu but menu selection [5] AUDIO is not selectable - the other menu items are.

I have 'rooted' the phone to see if this enables access to this menu. It doesn't.

After looking around I cannot find a clear guide on what to do to solve this annoying issue.

Any advice / ideas greatefully recevied please....

Regards, Jed.

Use DSP manager from CM7, just look for it on xda, and place it in /system/app (using root explorer) and then change permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot.
Go to DSP manager, choose headphones and then customize accordingly
