Help Samsung Galaxy Ace, voice input not working. Please help!

Hey all,

I have a galaxy ace. When I am texting, i press the microphone button and nothing happens. I have the keyboard set to swipe. Please help me get the voice input working.

Your data connection needs to be on for that...

i believe i have that set. My Access point is defined for packet data and it says 3G at the top with the two arrows. any other ideas?

Hi.

I had an exactly the same problem. I bet you cannot do "Voice Google Search" either.

The solution is very simple.
You have to download "Google Voice Search" app to your phone.

"Google Voice Search" app will activate both "Voice input" on your keyboard and "Google Voice Search."

Hi friends,
I am using Samsung Galaxy Ace with Android 2.3.4... In that mobile I have a problem when i am giving voice input(By pressing Microphone button) in Messages typing mode option it shows, "Connection Error". The error occur only in message voice input only. Other voice services like internet, google search are working well. How to solve message voice input error in Android 2.3.4.. please help me.. Thanks in advance..

I am having the same problem. The voice search and voice input in the keyboard aren't working. When it tells me to download google voice search and it takes me to the Android Market, it tells me that there is no such item in the market.
Please help me out
