Help Samsung Galaxy Ace

by using either the internet or app store, apps are said to be download and installed but cannot find any trace of them, icons do not appear on the desktop and nothing in downloads folder , 4 gig card 2 gig left what could be the problem

Have you tried looking in the app drawer? That is sometimes where they show up instead of just being automatically placed on your homescreen.
