Samsung galaxy cellphone

I purchase a new galaxy cellphone 2 weeks. Ago ...yesterday it landed in a bucket of water, does anyone know if it will work again?

Firstly, it depends very much on which model of Samsung Galaxy phone. An S8 or S9, as long as the glass isn't cracked, should not be bothered at all by a dip in a bucket (as long as it's clean water: it's not rated for salt water, detergent, floor cleaner, etc). A cheaper or older model may not have ingress protection.

From the question I assume it was not an ingress protected model. In which case the answer is that it depends on what you did since. If you got it out quickly, turned it off, shook the water off it, removed the battery if you can and stuck it in a sealed jar of dessicant for a few days to draw the moisture out (silica gel is ideal, but uncooked rice or cous cous will work if that's what you have) then you've a fighting chance. If you tried to use it, kept turning it on to see whether it's any better, stuck it on charge, then it's much more likely that some more serious damage has been done. In this case your best bet is still to turn it off and dry it thoroughly, as described above, and just hope you get away with it.

If the water wasn't clean then rinsing the phone with laboratory alcohol (isopropyl, for example, and definitely not drinking stuff) might help remove some of the crud, and will dry faster/do less damange than water. I've never tried this myself.

There are no short cuts here, and also no guarantees: water damage can be insidious. This is why phones contain moisture sensors and the warranty is void if those are triggered: corrosion might only cause problems long after the incident.
