Samsung galaxy fame and headphones

I have a samsung galaxy fame, as i am trying to buy new headphones Soundmagic E10S i want to know whether to get the e10s which are more expensive but have a remote or the E10 which are cheaper but with no remote. It says that later samsung galaxy models work but im not sure how later it means but im guessing its a pretty old phone.
