Hi I’ve just brought a Samsung Galaxy j3 and noticed there are no signal strength bars next to the EE logo/sign top left of phone.
Is this right or should the strength show ?

but offhand it does sound like you're just not getting good cellular signal. Could be there's not a cell tower close enough or maybe just re-seating your SIM card will help. Does this problem occur all the time or when you just in a certain location? If you're in a basement level of a solid concrete and steel office building that could be a problem. If this is happening all the time now wherever you are it could be an issue with your phone service carrier, if you can check your account status online look into that.
