Earlier this week, I got a notification that an Android update was ready for my phone so I installed it.
Everything was fine that day, then I got a warning that the phone was charging at a slow rate. This has not been an issue before with the charger that came with the phone. Last night I noticed that the phone was down to 26% so I put it on charge and went to sleep.
This morning it was still at only 91%. I decided to try a reboot of the phone to see if something in the update needed another reboot to finish the install. This turned out to be a big mistake as, after the reboot, I got a warning that my phone memory was corrupted and would have to be reset, losing all my files. I rebooted the phone one more time, hoping that warning would not come back. But it did so I had to reset the phone.
I had to leave for about an hour earlier and the phone dropped from 91 to 74%. I plugged it back in when I got home and it is at 91% and has been holding there for about 3 hours now.
It has been a major hassle as, not all my apps were installed and I have forgotten the passwords to others. I have been all day getting my phone set up after this update, version 7.1.1, messed everything up on my phone.
Anyone else having similiar issues?
I will add one more thing. I liked the way the old version looked and worked. Thanks Android for totally screwing everthing up with my phone. Maybe I should just go back to a dependable flip phone.
