Hello, all. I have been an iPhone user up until now and am finally ready to make the switch to Android after hearing so many good things from friends who have been onboard for awhile. The timing is good as my contract expired a couple of months ago and I'm able to grab a subsidized phone upon renewal.
Sadly, with the holidays being here and all, I can't quite make room in the budget for the S3, which has come highly recommended. I'm going to take advantage of the Cyber Monday deal AT&T is throwing out there, which offers Pantech Renue, Motorola Atrix HD, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and Nokia Lumia 900 for $0.99 with new or renewed contract.
Of the phones available, it seems as if the One X and the S2 Skyrocket are the better bets. Of the two, the One X seems the superior choice from a hardware perspective.
I'm hoping to find someone who has actual hands-on experience with the both of these phones and can give me some advice that just reading specs could not convey. The only con I've found in the Skyrocket is the weaker specs, while I've read that the One X can have poor call quality, weak audio, and something about Sense being bloated and irritating.
The one thread I found here comparing the two is a good several months old and enough time has passed since both were released that users have had ample time to feel out the pros and cons of both.
So... anyone care to help a newcomer out with this? It's a bit of a bummer that I missed out on the S3 sale at Sam's Club on Friday, so I really would like to get in on this other sale if I can go into it with some informed advice.
